What is Evangelization?
What is evangelization?
Who is to evangelize
and who is to be evangelized?
Does the faith community want to be evangelized more than anyone,
rather than to evangelize others, and for this very reason,
does this lead to the birth of favorable conditions for dialogue,
from which an evangelization could result,
ie. the proclamation of the Good News?
Can we apply Paulo Freire's principle of liberation to evangelization:
nobody evangelizes anybody, yet nobody evangelizes himself,
but do we evangelize ourselves in communion?
Are we busy about evangelizing
when we should be giving birth to evangelization thru dialogue?
Thru evangelizing,
do we claim to expand the church or to transform society?
are we transforming man into the church or are we church
serving man?
is not the role of yeast to leaven the dough, not make it into
yeast?
Is evangelizing above all a collective action of the faith community?
How should the faith community arouse the people
and the structures that surround it?
Should the faith community push the parishes in their evangelizing
mission?
To evangelize, is it not essential to go among the people, esp. the least,
and make a survey of the major problems that touch their lives?
Is not evangelizing standing forthrightly with the least,
even in the face of the strongest opposition?
Is not evangelizing boldly sharing the liberation of the Good News?
Is not evangelizing what the Lord did, (cf. Luke 10, Matthew 10),
"I am sending you like sheep among wolves."
